Designing a concept extranet for assessors

Every year Cambridge Assessment work with thousands of examiners and assessors to ensure that assessments are created, reviewed and marked for the millions of candidates that take them each year. The organisation initiated a strategic multi-million pound enterprise IT project to modernise their dealings with examiners and assessors, and wanted help creating a UX concept and vision for the programme.

What did I do?

  • Provided user experience guidance during the project, including helping to set the UX strategy
  • Ran requirements workshops to identify users and to elicit user needs and requirements
  • Created and verified personas to be used throughout the programme
  • Created scenarios and storyboards to help establish and communicate the UX vision
  • Ran collaborative design workshops to discuss and establish user journeys and to sketch out some example pages
  • Created wireframes (based on the design workshop sketches) and worked with designers to mock-up a few example pages for communicating the UX vision to senior project stakeholders
